Director, Marvin CrawfordMr. Crawford, before retiring in May 2022, has had a distinguished career as a full-time church musician
for 50 years. He has served large churches in New Jersey, Oregon, Idaho, Virginia, and Colorado. He retired as Director of Music and Arts at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins, Colorado, in May 2022 where he served for 15 years. Marvin’s church music career has included directing handbell choirs for children, youth, and adults. For 20 years he toured annually with a high school handbell choir throughout the United States and Canada. Mr. Crawford earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, and a Master of Music degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Conducting from Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. He subsequently earned an Advance Graduate Certificate of Worship Studies from the Institute for Worship Studies in Jacksonville, Florida. Marvin began his ringing career in 7th grade in the Chapel Handbell Choir and continued ringing as a high school student in the Cathedral Bell Choir in his home church, First United Methodist Church, Cathedral of the Rockies in Boise, Idaho. Marvin has been the Conductor and Artistic Director of Bells of The Rockies, Northern Colorado's premier ringing ensemble, since 2018. |
