Director, Marvin Crawford

Marv has had a distinguished career as a full-time church musician for 44 years. He has served large churches in New Jersey, Oregon, Idaho, Virginia, and Colorado. Currently, he is Director of Music and the Arts at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins, Colorado where he has served for the past 11 years. Mr. Crawford's church music career has included directing handbell choirs for children, youth, and adults. For 20 years he toured annually with a high school handbell choir throughout the United States and Canada.
Mr. Crawford earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey and a Master of Music degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Conducting from Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. He subsequently earned an Advance Graduate Certificate of Worship Studies from the Institute for Worship Studies in Florida.
Mr. Crawford began his ringing career in 7th grade in the Chapel Handbell Choir and continued ringing as a high school student in the Cathedral Bell Choir in his home church, First United Methodist Church, Cathedral of the Rockies in Boise, Idaho. He is excited to join Bells of the Rockies as the new Conductor and Artistic Director of Northern Colorado's premier ringing ensemble.
